  • Anindita Sitepu
    ----------

    Nindi directs the day-to-day management of Center for Indonesia’s Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI), overseeing a talented team that dedicated their commitments, ideas and time for the nation’s health development through Pencerah Nusantara, Generasi Kreatif: Penggerak Nusantara, Peta Kemitraan, Tobacco Control Policy Brief advocacy as well as other projects related to health development.

    With her extensive experience in managing social development interventions, she is passionate about health equity, youth empowerment and sustainable development. She has been actively involved in global dialogues that support human rights and equality such as the UN General Assembly on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in New York throughout the 2013 – 2016 period. Health psychologist by training, she feels at home discussing about the intersection between physical health and behaviour change, and how young people are key to realizing the healthy paradigm all over the country. The journey she has taken throughout her career made her part of several distinguished movements such as the Youth South East Asian Leaders’ Initiatives (YSEALI) from US Mission to ASEAN and often speaks in both international and national forum on the critical role of women in development.

    Prior to her work with CISDI, Nindi was part of the Office of President’s Special Envoy for Millenium Development Goals (KUKPRI-MDGs) as Program Manager in 2011. Before joining KUKPRI-MDGs, she previously lived in the Netherlands for two years where she completed her master program in Health Psychology at Leiden University.

  • Wahyu Handayani

    Wahyu joined CISDI as Head of Finance & Administration since 2014. Her ability to manage the Finance and Office Administration is based on her previous experience as Executive Secretary of the Presidential Special Envoy and Head of The Secretariat of the Office of the President's Special Envoy (OSE) for the MDGs.

    She manages to oversee the secretariat and financial fields by creating efficient office operational management, managing financial rules according to financial projections, and ensuring that financial control and reporting systems are conducted efficiently and effectively.Prior to working in CISDI, her involvement in planning, coordination and control in the creative process and managing the creative team enriches her ability in managing the finance and office administration.

    Outside of work, Wahyu has grown strong passion in graphic design which brought her winning 3rd place in the children's clothing design competition organized by Ayahbunda Magazine(2001) and 1st place for Lebaran and Christmas card designs organized by AUTO-2000 (2010). Her expertise in the graphics design has also been applied in preparing all promotional materials for the implementation of Indonesia MDG Awards 2011, 2012, 2013, Office of the Presidential Special Envoy, Pencerah Nusantara, and CISDI.

    Witnessing youth as CISDI’s pillars from its early establishment, Wahyu believes that youth’s passion and motivation towards development issues are what this country needs to make significant changes.

    Pada periode 2010 – 2014 Diah Saminarsih adalah Asisten Utusan Khusus Presiden untuk MDGs bidang Perencanaan Program dan Sinergi Komunitas. Diah Saminarsih aktif dalam tim Partnership for Maternal Neonatal dan Children Health (PMNCH) for Post-2015 Global Framework on Women and Children Health. Kini Diah Saminarsih adalah Staf Khusus Menteri Kesehatan Bidang Peningkatan Kemitraan dan Pelayanan Kesehatan Primer

    Sebagai Direktur Eksekutif Pencerah Nusantara, Diah memimpin proses pemilihan dan pelatihan tenaga kesehatan muda untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat di berbagai lokasi di seluruh Indonesia. Selain itu, Diah adalah Ketua Panitia Indonesia MDG Awards 2011, sebuah kegiatan yang diadakan setiap tahun untuk memberi penghargaan pada praktek-praktek cerdas untuk meningkatan percepatan pencapaian MDGs yang dilakukan oleh semua pemangku kepentingan di Indonesia.

  • Gatot Suarman

    Gatot serves as Head of Human Resource Development with core work is to provide an adequate human capital to support CISDI’s business process as a whole. He manages and directs the mechanism of people development thoroughly from talent recruitment to talent evaluation. He is responsible to build working cultures and values according to organization’s vision and mission.

    Prior to woking in CISDI, he joined Indonesia Mengajar movement for a year where he spent a year in an outskirt area of Indonesia as a teacher. He loves the dynamic self that he found in children while he was teaching. This experience had drawn his attention more to the development area. His passion in people development has triggered his curiosity on individual’s competency evolvement and how to capitalize their competency to meet the organizational goals. He strongly believes that a dignified nation starts with the high quality of its people that could be achieved through an appropriate personal competencies development.

    Gatot had been awardeed as Best Student (2008) from his college, Andalas University, for his excellent academic achievement as well as leadership experience in Student organization (AIESEC Indonesia). He was selected to represent Indonesia as a facilitator for AIESEC international leadership conference in Singapore and chaired Global Lead Summit in 2015 in Indonesia attended by more than 300 participants from 15 different countries.

    Taking part in CISDI is such a privillege for Gatot to encourage more young people to involve in Indonesia’s development. Gatot believes youth is one of the main factors to move the nation in facing any challenges in the future. For him, being just young is never enough, becase young people have to be young and impactful!

  • Muh Asnoer Laagu
    ----------

    Asnoer is Manager of Information and Communication Technology with core work in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Development. He is responsible to conduct research and develop digital platform that will act as information platform for CISDI and its programs. Asnoer also developed Peta Kemitraan, a digital platform to shows various initiatives in Indonesia and enabling them to connect, share and collaborate with each other.

    Prior to working in CISDI, Asnoer joined Indonesia Mengajar movement. This movement envisioned teachers from urban cities to be stationed in remote areas for a year. Asnoer spent a year with the movement in Indonesia Mengajar where he lived without electricity, signal and clean water. This experience had drawn his attention more to technology development. His passion in technology development has brought him to empowering people/community towards a knowledge-based society, focused on increasing their technological skill. He holds a strong belief that the more you teach, the more you learn.

    During his bachelor study at the Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya, Asnoer conducted a final project named "Telepon Digital". He worked with three other people as a team to develop Telepon Digital to replace public payphone. The digital phone aimed not only to accommodate phone calls but also to access data and internet. Users in "Telepon Digital" could pay with coins or cash depending on their needs.

    Being a part of CISDI has become such a privilege for Asnoer. He is committed to bring more people/community closer to technology access in Indonesia. He believes that values of a person depends on what he/she does for their society instead of their wealth, degree or position.

  • Egi Abdul Wahid

    At CISDI, Egi leads the Program Management team as coordinator where he coordinates CISDI’s program design development, standardized interventions as well as monitoring and evaluation strategy. Currently the team manages several programs such as the Pencerah Nusantara program and tobacco control-related program including advocacy, research, and intervention in grassroot level. Egi is also eager to examine any potential partnership scheme in regards to e-health implementation.

    Prior to working at CISDI, Egi worked as a community health nurse in primary healthcare center in rural area of Tolitoli district, Central Sulawesi. His work was under Pencerah Nusantara program managed by the Office of Special Envoy President for MDGs in 2012-2013.

    Egi has long-standing interest in primary healthcare improvement, health workers empowerment, and tobacco control issues. His interests have brought him to develop tobacco control education program, conduct research pertaining economic burden caused by tobacco, provide health education to young people and provide assistance in the development of i-Care, a digital platform for homecare service in Jakarta area. His expertise in health development, project management and community development is widely recognized that he is often invited as guest lecturer, speaker and trainer Indonesia.

    Egi was named outstanding student from ASEAN Institute for health development master program at Mahidol University in 2015. He has also received grants from John Hopkins University and Muhammadiyah Tobacco Control Center in 2012 and Indonesia Health Network in 2016.
    Joining CISDI, Egi believes that CISDI has the flexibility for implementing innovative health program in Indonesia and eagerness to collaborate with multi-sectoral for the betterment of Indonesian health development.

  • Yurdhina Meilissa

    As a policy and planning specialist, Yurdhina is responsible for overseeing working plan development and analyzing relevant policies that could affect CISDI’s programs.

    A trained physician, Yurdhina had a comprehensive understanding in regards to health policy and how it was being implemented. Her main area of interest is health policy and program management, grew upon her participation in Pencerah Nusantara in 2012. With the experience she gained, Yurdhina implemented her theoretical and practical understanding to contribute to the betterment of health policy implementation in Indonesia.

    Yurdhina has received several distinguished awards such as Chevening Scholarship from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), UK and Trust Fund Awards, MSc Dissertation funding, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She recently completed her master program in Health Policy, Planning and Financing at University of London and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

    With her outstanding academic achievements and on-field experience, Yurdhina often showcases her ideas for the betterment of healthcare implementation in Indonesia.

    Fadjar is currently a Partnership and Outreach Coordinator with business development assignment at CISDI. Prior to joining CISDI, he worked with KlikDokter.com as Chief Editor & Medical Operation and Abdul Jamil Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) Southeast Asia as Research Associate.
    His area of interest includes non-communicable disease control and prevention, health system strengthening and health diplomacy. He is passionate about merging global health and development expertise as well as business aptitude to advance public health service in developing region. Beyond his work, he leads Alumni Swedia, an organization for Indonesian graduates from Swedish Universities aiming to strengthen bilateral ties between Indonesia and Sweden through facilitating strategic networking between the alumni, Swedish universities and companies.

    Fadjar has received several distinguished awards such as the Swedish Institute Award (2014), Erasmus Mundus Scholarship (2011), the Global Health Awards from Charité Universitatsmedizin Berlin (2010), Dana Bhakti Kalbe scholarship (2009) and Bina Antar Budaya Award for American Field Service student exchange to the Netherlands (2005). In 2011, he received support from Indonesian Government to conduct an internship at the World Health Organization HQ in Geneva, Switzerland.

    Having completed studies and trainings in nine cities across Europe, Asia and Africa, he has deep understanding of social determinants of health in both emerging economies and developed world. Other than Bahasa Indonesia he speaks English, Dutch and French. He joined CISDI as he believes that strategic partnerships are key component to successes in addressing global health and development challenges.

  • Randy Novirsa
    ----------

    Randy is a senior researcher in CISDI’s research & development division. He focuses on designing research methods, developing assessment tools, and data management and analysis for CISDI strategic needs. Randy has four years of experience in conducting public health research in both local and national scale. He was once appointed as research assistant in implementing Dengue Research Project in four provinces collaborating with the Indonesian Ministry of Health. The project became his biggest asset as researcher as reference to further contribute to CISDI’s program development.

    Outside of work, Randy has strong passion and interest in outdoor sport such as mount climbing, rafting, and forest hiking. Through these activities, he built strong networking with many social communities around Indonesia. He is often involved in volunteering for disaster fast response. Besides that, Randy is also interested in environmental protection issues. He is a member of Indonesia environmental health specialist association engaged in development of environmental protection policies.

    Joining CISDI, Randy believes that every interventions that are meant to further develop the society in addressing social issues need to be based on data. With data, every decisions will produce more accurate and better results.

    Mala serves as Research and Development Officer that supports CISDI’s business process especially in planning, monitoring, and evaluating. Bringing her considerable experience in research design and analysis, Mala has responsibility to manage all assessments related to Pencerah Nusantara and Generasi Kreatif: Penggerak Nusantara Program.
    Apart from her work at CISDI, Mala currently volunteers as Second Project Manager of Patungan Listrik Program at Pelita Khatulistiwa, a non-profit organization that helps primary healthcare in remote area through crowdfunding electricity. Her interest in tobacco control issues, lead her to join in the FCTC Youth Community of Lentera Anak Foundation. On top of that, Mala also dedicated her time as consultant for several youth movement related to health and education such as Rumah Remaja Banyuwangi, Sahabat Remaja Mentawai, and Gerakan Pemuda Peduli Pendidikan Mentawai. She also gives lecture in Faculty of Public Health, Airlangga University and Indonesian Public Health Student Association (ISMKMI) as a Guest Lecturer for Basic Training of Public Health.

    Mala was an awardee of BIDIKMISI Scholarship from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Indonesia, to pursue undergraduate study in Airlangga University 2010-2014. During her college years, she won many national and international scientific writing competitions and earned several research grants from USAID and DIKTI. Because of those achievements, Mala had been awarded as Best Student (2013) and Graduate with Honors from Airlangga University (2015).
    Her strong desire to change the society paradigm to build a stronger health-seeking behavior, making her selected as Pencerah Nusantara and was deployed to Mentawai Islands District in 2014. During one year of service, Mala realized that public health data gives significant impact to the success of health program interventions. Realizing the potential behind data, Mala joined CISDI as Research and Development Officer and envisioned public health data to be widely accessible and easily understood by everyone.

  • Siska Verawati
    ----------

    Siska serves as program management officer with core work in managing and overseeing CISDI’s program specifically the Pencerah Nusantara program. Under her scope of work, she is responsible to design the strategic implementation of logical frameworks and monitoring-evaluation plans. She also supervises the young professional healthcare team of Pencerah Nusantara program in 9 locations to ensure the project implementation at grass-roots level comply with the standards of CISDI at the national level.
    Prior to joining CISDI, Siska joined Pencerah Nusantara for a year as public health advocate in Puskesmas Ogotua, a remote area in Toli-toli, Central Sulawesi. During her service, Siska discovered a huge gap of inequality access to health services in the community. To address the challenge, she consistently advocated the issues to all relevant stakeholders at all levels of power. Her team’s success in bringing healthcare access closer to unfortunate people drives her to contribute more to the society.

    During her spare time, Siska has been an active volunteer of Pelita Khatulistiwa, a movement of young people who envision an equal service of electricity in outpost places.
    Siska believes by joining CISDI, she gains a prestigious opportunity to encourage more active participation from stakeholders to involve in providing equitable access in health development. Her vast expanse of experience in rural development has also motivated her to pursue higher education that will enhance her capacity to create more positive impact to a better Indonesia.

  • Deviana Dewi
    ----------

    As the Lead for Pencerah Nusantara Program at CISDI, Deviana currently leads the management and monitoring of the program. Prior to her involvement at CISDI, she worked as a Research Assistant for Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in Brighton and Project Coordinator for World Vision Indonesia in a remote area in Palu. Apart from her formal job at CISDI, she works as a Research Consultant with IDS on malnutrition, poverty and village governance. She also volunteers as the IDS Alumni Ambassador for Indonesia since 2016. This role enables her as the first point of IDS students, alumni and researchers to work closely with the Brighton-based alumni office to globally connect IDS and graduates.

    Deviana has been awarded the first author of two best paper submissions at Indonesian Scholars International Convention – 9th OISAA International Symposium held at University of Warwick on July 26-29th. She was an awardee of Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) Scholarship, Ministry of Finance Indonesia to pursue postgraduate study in the University of Sussex 2014-2015.

    Deviana has a deep interest in international development. She is passionate about eradication of poverty and child malnutrition as both reinforce each other in a vicious cycle. Deviana is particularly driven to strive for evidence-based practices and policies as she believes knowledge mobilization is imperative to improve impacts. Her favorite life motto is it is better to light a candle than to curse the dark.

  • Yeyen Yenuarizki

    Yeyen leads the activism and outreach program for CISDI as ONP senior officer. She focuses on strategic communication development, content development and production, and outreach management. With three years of professional experience in Weber Shandwick, a global communication firm based in Jakarta, Yeyen has key roles in extending CISDI’s network to media, communities and private sector by implementing creative approach.

    Outside of her work life, Yeyen has strong interests in creative writing and design, photography, videography, and occasionally attending tolerance-related theme discussion. She also loves spending her time volunteering for social cause such as volunteering for Bina Antarbudaya Intercultural Learning, Kelas Inspirasi and teaching for students in conservation area for Weber Shandwick Impact Project. In 2007, Yeyen received a distinguished scholarship from US Department of State to participate in the YES Program, an exchange program for students from Muslim majority country to the US. She was also chosen to participate in a Training of Trainer workshop for community development by AFS International in Washington DC in 2011.

    Her interest in public affair and development issue grew upon her involvement in the Indonesian MDGs Awards in 2012. With her considerable experience in creative agency, Yeyen believes that social causes and creative approach are keys to get people together in solving social issues.

    Kris is a nutritionist and a program management officer with specialization in community program and development, strategic planning also food and nutrition security.

    Born in Malang, he had received several distinguished awards such as the Indofood Research Nugraha during his undergraduate study and local government scholarship to pursue higher education on food and nutrition planning at the University of the Philippines.

    Kris grows a strong passion to further study human and community development and global nutrition. Starting his career at CISDI, he would like to grow with CISDI and make a substantial contribution to improving health and nutrition outcomes by applying his experience and skills.   • Arina A. Hanny

    Arina is an Outreach and Partnership Officer at CISDI who is responsible on CISDI digital communication activities from analysing, planning, executing and reporting. She also designs most of CISDI publication materials.

    Prior to woking in CISDI, she was an active volunteer at Gerakan Kerelawanan Internasional (GREAT) Indonesia, which concerns on youth empowerment and environment. Even though she has only joined for several months, she was offered to become a leader for Global Voluntary Service (by International Voluntary Service) to stop climate change, representing Indonesia.

    As she studied Public Relations at Universitas Padjadjaran, Arina developed her skills by joining some public relations competitions. One of the awards that she got is “Top 10 Finalist” of Pekan Komunikasi that was held by Universitas Indonesia.

    In this infromation era, Arina wants to contribute to the nation’s development by applying what she believes to be the “Millenials Skills” such as digital communications, photography, and visual communication design. She believes that a good, massive, and effective communication can raise people awareness about any issue in Indonesia, and it also can lead people to take part on bringing Indonesia to be a better nation.

  • Madeleine Randell
    ----------

    Madeleine joined CISDI in May 2017 as a Public Health Research Advisor, after her acceptance to the Australian Government funded program, Australian Volunteers for International Development. Bringing her considerable experience in research design and analysis, Madeleine is working closely with the Research and Development Unit in CISDI to strengthen capacity to produce high quality research outputs.

    Madeleine’s early work as a public health research assistant in the area of tobacco cessation fueled her interest in health inequalities in the aid and development context, leading her to complete a Master of International Public Health in 2014. Since 2011 she has co-authored several papers, with a career highlight being the opportunity to work with the Medical Research Council in Uganda to provide statistical analysis support.

    With her strong belief that good health is the foundation of development, Madeleine is passionate about using her experience and skill in research and statistical analysis to inform research and interventions that can help to improve public health outcomes in countries that have continued health disparities.

    Angga is the finance officer of CISDI where he provides assistance to Head of Finance and Administration in managing fund.

    He previously worked at the Office of President’s Special Envoy for MDGs as secretariat staff. Eventhough he did not have academic background or experience in finance, he was appointed as Support Assistance for Finance in the institution. Thus, from his three-year experience of managing financial affair, he has grown thorough understanding in the matter.

    Angga is an alumni of Information System at Islamic State University Jakarta. Beyond work, Angga has a strong passion in photography and movies.
